Soft toy Flamingo by Hansa with support in its legs and neck.
It can stand unaided but not easily as takes a bit of time to get it balanced.

It has an educational tag attached with facts about the flamingo and a small booklet with some of the other Hansa creations.

Size approx. 17" (43cm) in height and 15" (38cm) in length from beak to end of wings.

• The word ‘flamingo’ comes from the Latin and Spanish for ‘fire’ referring of course to their bright pink feathers.
• Flamingos can filter feed in the water for several hours a day.
• The backward bending knee of a flamingo isn’t a knee at all, it’s actually its ankle. Its knee is much higher and hidden underneath its feathers.
• The first ever flamingo hatched in a zoo was a Chilean flamingo. It was at Zoo Basel, Switzerland in 1958.
