This Emu by Hansa is made from a whispy feather effect soft plush fabric. It has support deep in its legs, feet and neck so is able to stand unaided once balanced.

It is made to the highest standards from the finest synthetic materials.

The emu belongs to the family Dromaidae. It inhabits open plains and brush in Australia and feeds chiefly on roots, fruits and herbage.

It lays its eggs, which are dark green and about 10cm in length, in a hole in the ground. Incubation takes approx. 2 months.

It can grow to 1.8m in height and is not able to fly as the wings are mere rudiments concealed beneath the dull brown, thick feather plummage.
